设计任务:根据所提供的信息和语言素材设计一节课的教学方案。

Topic: What can you do?

Students: Grade 5 in primary school

A: We’ll have an English party next Tuesday. What can you do for the party, children?

B: I can sing English songs.

A: Wonderful! How about you, John?

C: I can do some kungfu.

A: Thank you, John.

Teaching aims:

Knowledge aims:

Students can master the usage of some phrases: sing English songs, do kong fu

Students can learn the sentence pattern: What can you do? I can......

Ability aim:

Students can talk about what they can do in their daily life

Emotional aim:

Students can enjoy their after-school time and be willing to learn more hobbies.

Step 1 Warming up and lead-in

(1) After greeting, the teacher will act and let students guess. (sing, dance and so on).

(2) Then the teacher will ask students what they can do. And create a situation that school talent show will be held on Friday, and we need some talent boys and girls to join the show. Then lead in today’s lesson.

Step 2 Presentation

(1) lead students to listen to the tape for the first time and find out when they will have an English party? Then invite some volunteers to answer the question and check the answer together.

(2) lead students to listen to the tape again and find out what they can do in the conversation.

(3) lead students to listen to the tape and read after the tape and try to imitate the pronunciation and intonation

Step 3Practice

(1). Act and guess

Invite some students to act and say “what can I do”, the other students to guess and answer their questions. Repeat several times, hoping they can improve their imitating and speaking abilities.

(2). Make a presentation

Two students in a group to practice the dialogue and later some will be invited to make a presentation in the front.

Step 4 Production

The teacher will present a chart on the screen, and let students do a survey in groups of 4 in 5mins to find out what they can do. They should use the sentence structure on the blackboard. After that the teacher will invite several groups to report their survey results, meanwhile, the teacher will give some encouragement.

Step 5 Summery and Homework

Summary: Ask one student to summarize what they have learned today.

Homework: Ask them to make dialogues with their partners and share the next class.

(1)材料来源:人教版 《新目标英语》八年级下册第六单元How long have you been collecting shells?

(2)设计要点:教学目标,教学过程和板书设计。

(3)教学时间:45分钟。

(4)学生概况:某镇普通中学八年级学生,班级人数40,多数学生接近《义务教育英语课程标准》(2011年版)分级目标四级水平,学生参与的积极性一般,有合作意识。

I’m talking to you from the Hilltop School Skating Marathon.Here, students are skating to raise money for charity.For every hour they skate,each student raises ten yuan for charity.The skating marathon has been going for five hours now,and several skaters are still skating.Alison was the first one to start,and has been skating for the whole five hours.Next is Sam,and he has been skating for four hours.Lu Ning has been skating for four hours too, and Li Chen just started an hour ago.

Teaching Plan

I. Teaching objectives:

After this period of teaching, students are expected to

◎ memorize new words and phrases

◎ give a real - time reporting using target language

◎ be willing to contribute to charity

II. Teaching procedure:

Warming up:

1. Ask if students have taken part in any charity activities.

2. Ask what their favorite sports are.

3. Let them guess what this lesson is about.

Pre-reading:

Activity 1: Ask students to repeat news they have heard from TV, as detailed as possible.

Activity 2: Discuss what elements must be included in a real - time report.

While-reading:

Activity 1: Scan and check predictions.

Activity 2: Skim the paragraph and fill the form under the picture.

Activity 3: Read the whole passage to answer questions and summarize the elements in this report.

Activity 4: Read the whole passage aloud to find out useful language points.

Post-reading:

Activity 1: Consolidate language points by retelling the passage with the help of the form on blackboard.

Activity 2: Finish part 3b.

Summary: Confirm if objectives are obtained.

Homework: Write a report about any event they are interested in.
